Description Graham's 20 Years Old Tawny Port

Portuguese fortified wine, especially port, belongs to the canons of the wine world. Graham's Tawny 20 Years Old Port is an outstanding Potro from a traditional producer. It is aged for a long time in oak barrels to develop and reveal an amazing palette of flavors. The nose reveals nutty aromas, broken by vanilla stick, candied fruits, honey and crème brûlée. Having this wine is not worth baking a cake or preparing an exquisite dessert, it is better to simply savor the taste of this exceptional Port.

Graham's 20 Years Old Tawny Port wine reviews

"Tawny Port is always exciting, but if you can afford a little extravagance, go for the 20-year old. All the major houses produce great old tawnys, but Graham's is always one of the best. On the palate, it's airy and mellow. With notes of toffee, candied orange, raisins, dried plums, hazelnuts and a spicy note on the finish. Wonderful! " - Decanter

"Lovely, with notes of dates and persimmon. Along the way, slightly bitter accents of orange, ginger and green tea emerge. Echoes of sweet golden raisin and hazelnut linger on the finish, which is smooth and long. A beautiful wine." - Wine Spectator

Graham's Vineyard

Graham's is a prominent house in the Douro Valley in northern Portugal. The company was founded as a textile company in the early 19th century by brothers William and John Graham in Glasgow, who received a barrel of port as repayment for a debt. Since then, the company has expanded, and today Graham's is owned by the Symington family, which owns several other port houses, including Dow's and Warre's. The house creates a range of styles of port, including classic ruby, tawny and white port, and showcases many vintage-exclusive bottles. The Quinta dos Malvedos vineyard supplies much of the grapes for Graham's vintage rank port and is considered one of the company's best vineyards, acquired in 1890. The main plantings there are Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, which ripen in a sunny, hot terroir.
