And what can we say about vodka itself? Well, it consists of an alcoholic distillate diluted with water in a ratio of about 2:3 (40%), and according to Polish law it must contain a minimum of 37.5% alcohol. We can distinguish between pure vodka, quality vodka and moonshine. Pure vodka is obtained from rectified spirit, which contains 95% (by volume) ethyl alcohol, and which is diluted with water. These, in turn, we can divide into pure ordinary vodkas, choice vodkas and luxury vodkas. Quality vodkas are also obtained from rectified spirit and water, while plant extracts, fragrance oils and sugar are additionally added.
