Wine is feminineAlready

wine itself is a feminine category. It is elegant, lighter than strong spirits and thus less caloric. It is women who often buy it, and it is women who are said to have a greater sensitivity to taste and smell. More and more ladies are appearing among winemakers and sommeliers around the world. Therefore, there is no single, simple answer to the question of wine for women

.What wines do women chooseFirst

of all - women love bubbles. Coco Chanel claimed that she drinks champagne only in two situations, when she is in love and when... she is not. In contrast, Lily Bollinger, owner of the Bollinger champagne house used to say: "I drink champagne when I'm happy and when I'm sad. Sometimes I drink when I am alone. When I have company, I treat it as a necessity. I sip it when I'm not hungry, and I drink it when I am. Otherwise I never reach for it unless I'm thirsty." However, bubbly is not just champagne. Prosecco, Cava, or the less popular - sweet Moscato D'Asti - could all be described as wines for women. Such wines are refreshing, light and celebratory. Ladies choose them both for everyday use and for special occasions. Among female customers of Vinezia.pl, the most popular is the crisp, fruity Ponte Prosecco. Another wine with a feminine flair is Sauvignon Blanc, especially a wine from New Zealand. This is one of the most fashionable choices in recent times, and not only among ladies. Freshness rules in the wine and it goes perfectly with all light dishes, like salads, appetizers, fish or seafood. No wonder this delicacy suits the feminine nature so well. Riesling can also be ladylike. For example, this semi-sweet and with less alcohol. Perfect to open with girlfriends, without an occasion. In addition, the wine's delicately sweet taste can replace dessert.

Although it is white wines that are more often described as ladylike, there are also "typical" red wines for women, such as Merlot. It is usually mild and is pleasant to drink unaccompanied by food. However, the wine is so versatile that it can safely be served with many different dishes. Another example is the red Barbaresco. This is a wine for women, while Barolo - made from the same grape and in the same region is for men. However, they are not the same. Barbaresco is fruitier and less tannic than Barolo.

Rosé wines are for women. This is a myth, of course, but a very common one. After all, no other color is as associated with femininity as rosé. While these wines can be very different, to many they may not seem very masculine. Similarly, non-alcoholic and sweet wines are also considered feminine. This does not mean that men do not drink them, after all, they also like sweetness and sometimes count on the lack of percentages

.Why do we need to know about wines for women?

Wines considered feminine can be a certain guideline when, for example, we are looking for a gift for her. You can also confront them with your own experiences, and even try to dispel some stereotypes. In the end, the most important thing is whether we like the wine, no matter what we call it.
