Which wines, for which Easter dishes?

On the Easter table dense and frequent eggs. They can be found both in sour soup and stuffed. seasoned with mayonnaise. Looking for the perfect combination with wine, it is worth stopping over a bottle of bubbly, such as Italian prosecco or Spanish cava. With eggs with mayonnaise, a wine from the Chardonnay varietal will also show off the creaminess of the meal in a very interesting way.

And since we are talking about sour soup, it is worth considering a good choice for this classic soup. Very well here will pass the test both Sauvignon Blanc and dry Riesling, which, thanks to its acidity and complex aromas, will complement the flavor of the dish.

At Easter dinner can not miss the classic roast white sausage. To accompany it, we can stay with a Riesling or Chardonnay, or move on to opening a red wine. A young Tempranillo will be on point on this occasion, enriching the flavor of the meat, but not covering it up.

For a homemade pate, which often hosts an additional fruity addition, such as plum, a California Zinfandel will be ideal. Its essentiality and slightly jammy character will emphasize the texture behind this meal. The same wine will also be an excellent choice for pork loin with plum, which will also appreciate a bottle of Malbec or Cabernet Sauvignon.

For desserts, on the other hand, we recommend wines with more residual sugar, which with their lightness, perfect balance and sweetness will enrich the culmination of a perfect dinner. Among the wine classics in this category, we recommend Georgian Alazani Valley and Pirosmani, German Riesling from later harvests, or light, frizzante Moscato from Sicilian plots. For more discriminating gourmets looking for a rich and intense experience, we recommend Portugal's iconic fortified wine, Porto, or Hungary's unusually essentious Tokaj, with its long, nutty and honeyed finish
