We invite you to explore the list of wines from Spain, where detailed descriptions, high-quality photos and reviews of our customers will help you choose the right bottle.

Characteristics of Spanish winesThe most popular

wine, without a doubt, is Rioja, produced from the Tempranillo grape. It is a dry red wine that can be young and fruity (Tinto Joven) and exquisite and long-lived (Gran Reserva). Another liquor that is quite popular is fortified wines from Andalusia, known to the world as Sherry - found in both dry and very sweet versions. The last is Cava, which is a good sparkling Spanish wine made by traditional methods. A division is present between table, regional and appellation wines. In each region, several appellations are separated DO Pago, DOC, DO. The first is listed with the best wines from individual estates. The second refers to wines of good quality, while the third, is assigned to wines from a specific region that meet the requirements for production. Spanish wines in our store are very popular, and one of the most popular for many years has been Candidato Tempranillo. This is a great example of a regional Spanish wine, which is based on the royal strain of Spain - Tempranillo. All the aromas here are extremely intense, and the tannins are soft with plenty of fruit and distinct notes of vanilla and coconut. Customers value this beverage above all for its excellent price/quality ratio. Both an exquisite wine taster and a person who is completely unfamiliar with wines, but who wants to try something very typically Spanish, will find something for themselves in Spain. Prices of Spanish wines vary greatly. We can buy a good beverage from as little as PLN 19.99, but in our offer there is also no shortage of proposals in the price range of PLN 1500-2000.

Grape varietiesThe

most popular white varieties include Airén, Albariño, Verdejo and Macabeo. Among red varietals, the aforementioned Tempranillo reigns supreme, followed closely by Garnacha, Cariñena and Monastrell. Spanish winemakers have also been fascinated by international varieties for years. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and white Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc have become accepted here. These varieties are often blended with local varieties.

Wine regions>Spain

has the largest acreage of wine grapes in the world, but ranks only third in the world, after France and Italy, in terms of the amount of wine produced. This is due to a dry climate that does not allow for greater achievement. The green and rainy Galicia in the northwest produces fresh and light wines. The mountainous northeast - Catalonia and Aragon - is the kingdom of strong red wines and the main source of Cava. Valencia, Murcia, the regions between the Mediterranean and the meseta, are the source of typically southern, massive red wines. The north of Spain is a source of elegant, long-lived Tempranillo-based red wines - the world-famous Rioja and Ribera del Duero appellations. The central part of the country - La Mancha - provides mostly anonymous, inexpensive wines - instead accounting for nearly 50% of all Spanish production! Lying in the very south of Andalusia, on the other hand, is a paradise for lovers of sherry, Spanish fortified wine.

Spaniards practically consume wine with every meal, but it should be added that although production is increasing, the consumption of this liquor in Spain itself is declining.
