Wines as an aperitifWines

as an aperitif will work perfectly. You can serve both white wines, especially the more acidic and dry wines (often just lighter), as well as light red wines, usually young, with a fruity aroma and taste (such as beaujolais). Among this group there can also be sweet wines, which have their supporters, but the most classic liquor is still sparkling wines such as prosecco, cava or champagne

.Quality vodkaFor

many years, dry

quality v

odka has led the way in Poland. A glass of Starka, Piołunówka or any other dry liquor was and still is a part of the beginning of every lavish feast. Starka is a Polish vodka with a 500-year tradition, which is matured in oak wine barrels. For exceptional qualities, apple or lime leaves are added to the barrel. It is a true queen among domestic vodkas, and a glass before a meal will warm up and prepare our body for a long feast

.VermouthVermouth

is a fortified wine flavored with herbs and spices. It is sometimes sweetened with sugar or caramel, and the alcohol content ranges from 12-20%. The best way to use fortified wine as an aperitif is to serve it with ice or sparkling water. The main producers are Italy and France, and very popular aperitifs are wines such as Porto, Sherry or Madeira

.Aperitif bitterThis

is a cocktail based on spirits such as Campari, Martini Bitter, or Aperol, which are combined with sparkling water, tonic or orange juice. Aperitif sour is a cocktail from the so-called sour group, and as we know, sour taste stimulates our body and increases the need for food

.Aniseed alcoholsAniseed al

cohols, especially popular in the Mediterranean, are

another

group. They not only stimulate the appetite, but also give a feeling of refreshment. The most popular product are French brands under the generic name Pastis. Greek Ouzo, or Spanish Ojen (a persevered Sherry) work equally well.

There is no single alcohol that can be referred to as an aperitif. Different countries have different preferences, thus different types of alcohol are served. Thus, vermouth is popular in Italy, pastis in France, dry sherry in Spain, ouzo in Greece and vodka in Poland.
