It remains to wait for a price bargain (Vinesia is teeming with price promotions and bargain prices for wine sets including wine sets for weddings) or apply to an advisor to compose the best price proposal. Tailored to us, our guests, the food served and... to our budget

.How much wine to buy for a wedding?

If we plan only wine at the wedding, then we should purchase as many bottles as we plan to have guests. If we are also planning strong alcohol, then the number of guests divide by two and as many buy wedding wine

.Wine for the wedding - white or red?

When it comes to the categories and taste of wine for the wedding, it is worth following the proportions from the following example. Let's assume that we are planning a wedding for 100 people and the plan also includes strong alcohol. The proportions of wine purchase for such a wedding will be as follows: white wine - 10 bottles, red wine - 20 bottles, sparkling wine or champagne for the wedding toast - 10 bottles and finally wine for the wedding dessert - another 10 bottles. If at a wedding with the same number of people we do not anticipate strong alcohol - then wine for the wedding we buy about 2 times as much as in the above example.

If you are worried about buying too much, abandon your fears. Good specialty stores always offer the possibility to return unused and undamaged bottles. And now the taste - what to follow, after all, the tastes of guests can be even extremely different. If you do not know the preferences of the guests, it is worth avoiding very dry wines, wines with high acidity and high tannins in the selection of wine for the wedding. But this does not mean that only semi-dry and semi-sweet wines must appear on the table. There are many wines described as dry, which nevertheless remain neutral, delicate, yet still aromatic and full of taste sensations. To come across such, look for wines from warmer regions: Chille, New Zealand, Australia. Although Georgia or Bulgaria also work well here. In white wines for the wedding, if we do not know the preferences of the guests, a good choice will be a delicate Chardonnay or a Sauvignon Blanc more intense in fruit flavors, for example, Santa Carolina Chardonnay, or Nos Racines Sauvignon Blanc. Among red wines for the wedding table, let's rather choose light Merlots or even Primitivo e.g. Trapiche Astica Merlot Malbec and Rene Barbier Classic Penedes, or Primitivo di Manduria.

When choosing wine for a wedding toast, we do not have to limit ourselves to expensive champagne or its unfashionable "imitations". Let's opt for inexpensive, light prosseco or Champagne's more sophisticated Spanish cousin, cava. Let's also make sure that the alcohol is properly chilled - this will provide a pleasant refreshment and positively affect its flavors.

When choosing wine for dessert at a wedding, it is worth remembering that sweet dishes should be served with wine of similar sweetness. Let's not overdo the sweetness of the liquor! Let's choose semi-sweet or sweet wines - without high alcohol content, such as Fiuza 3 Castas Semi Sweet White, Zebo Moscato Sicilia- Frizzante.

If you want to bet on originality - try personalized labels, which will turn even unattractive bottles into wedding works of art, and if you bet on humor when choosing the design, will provide guests with delight. Many wine stores will prepare them for you in the price of wine or for a small fee. Let's not be afraid of wine at a wedding. If you still don't feel confident in the subject, take advice from store employees.
