White wine for appetizersWhite

wine for appetizers will go perfectly with vegetables, hummus or nuts. For sweeter or spicier flavors, we should reach for a slightly sweeter wine, while for more acidic ingredients - a refreshing wine. Sparkling wines such as Prosecco or Cava will be perfect here, and with more intense flavors - as in the case of nuts - for a more complex wine, for example from the Chardonnay varietal

.Red wine for appetizersRed

wine will be perfect to accompany meat appetizers, but also when bruschetta, casseroles or pizza appear on the table. Then it is worth reaching for Italian classics in the style of Montepulciano, Barbera or Sangiovese. The latter, in particular, will go extremely well with tomato-based snacks or tomato sauces.

When the table is full of classic chips or cabanas (yes, with such classic snacks the wine also tastes great!) it is worth reaching for juicy and fruity red wines with notes of spice. Wines from the Merlot, Primitivo or Syrah varietal will be an excellent match. Refreshing white varieties such as Pinot Grigio will also be a good choice

.Cheese boardAbsolute

classic - a cheese board and wine. A combination like few, able to bring endless pleasure to the meal. However, cheeses are sometimes very diverse, some are salty, others sweet, some are harder and others softer. How do you match them with the right wine?

With hard aged cheeses, which are often salty and intense in flavor, it is worth reaching for a deep and balanced wine. Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley, and from the reds Montepulciano or Chianti. Due to the solid structure and fattiness of such cheeses, a Piedmontese nebbiolo will also show off an interesting pairing here.

With soft cheeses such as gouda or comte, often rich in nutty notes, a slightly softer, fruitier wine will work better, but still with adequate depth of flavor. A great partner here will prove to be Pinot Noir, which will not overshadow, but complement the flavors coming from the cheese.

Cheeses with a soft and creamy texture, such as brie or camembert, are popular. An excellent direction in such company will be a sparkling wine, especially one with a slightly yeasty character. It is therefore worth reaching for a good Cava.

Sweet blue cheese, on the other hand, loves sweet wines. Sauternes among white wines, and Port among red wines will provide an intense and excellent experience.

Finally, there are still goat cheeses left, which need the right balance and lively acidity coming from the wine. A dry Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc or Gruner Veltliner will be perfect here.
