Wine from Chile can be interesting and this particular wine is proof of that. Carmenere Reserva from Rapel Valley is an intense, concentrated wine with a purple color. It spends 9 months in oak barrels, so it offers fine tannins, with noticeable spices and intense ripe fruit. On the nose, there is a noticeable aroma of berries, caramel and vanilla. The accolades this wine has won confirm its uniqueness: 89 points from Wine and Spirits for the 2008 vintage and a silver medal from the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles for the 2010 vintage.
