Wine Castellani Poggio Al Casone Chianti Superiore D.O.C.G..

Poggio Al Casone is a classic of wines from Tuscany - ruby red in color, with a succulent aroma with notes of cherries, dried fruits, blackberries (such characteristics are due to the Sangiovese varietal). Spices and cocoa additionally appear in the background. On the palate it is firm and compact with good tannin structure, the finish is juicy and fruity. Like many other wines from the Chianti appellation, this also belongs to the group of Italian wines that every wine lover should try.The 2009 vintage won a gold medal at the Japan Wine Challenge competition.
