Wine Zensa Pinot Grigio Organic IGP Puglia

An Italian white wine, made from 100 percent Pinot Grigio grape. It is made from selected vines from organic vineyards in the province of Brindisi, in southern Puglia. Harvesting takes place in mid-August in the morning. The time of day of hand picking is important, due to the transportation of the fruit. It is important that the grapes retain their freshness throughout their journey from the vineyard. During winemaking, the grapes are stripped of their stalks and gently pressed. The next step is to cool the must to 10˚C and leave it for about 24 hours. Further, the must is placed in stainless steel tanks. The fermentation process takes place at a controlled temperature of 16˚C. After fermentation, the wine is left on the lees for about 3 months. This allows the extraction of the appropriate aromas for the Pinot Grigio variety.

In the glass we can see, slightly yellow, straw color. In the nose, delicate aromas of citrus are perceptible. Peach, lime, lemon as well as notes of almond or honey. The wine is very refreshing and balanced. Properly chilled it will be perfect as an aperitif on a hot day.

Pinot Grigio is a very versatile grape and the wine made from it can be matched with many dishes. It goes perfectly with dishes with turkey, chicken and duck. It will also go well with salads with dressing and dishes with spicy spices. Thanks to its crispness, it will also work well as an aperitif.
