Whisky Raasay While We Wait Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Raasay Distillery is the first legal distillery on the island of Raasay creating a completely pioneering place in Scotland for whisky production. Distilling began in 2017, but the producers are using their knowledge, passion and experience to produce excellent whiskies in collaboration with Highland Distillery to create the first products. All this in accordance with the name: "while we wait" - waiting for the first sensational whiskies from their own distillery. Raasay While We Wait is a single malt whisky with 46% strength and natural color, filtered without refrigeration. The whisky was created in the spirit and vision of the distillery's future products, as an enticing sample of what is yet to come. It combines distillates from peated and unpeated grains. Tasting the whisky is surprising - there is remarkably little smoke in the nose with fruity notes predominating. In color, the whisky is natural with subtle darker reflections from aging in Tuscan barrels. On the palate there are the anticipated smoky and peaty notes, spices, black pepper, licorice, sea breeze. They blend harmoniously on the secondary with fruity accents of black currant, blackberries, raspberries and cherries. The finish is long, expressive and inviting for tasting more of the distillery's products.
