Wine La Spinetta Il Nero Di Casanova IGT Toscana 2019

An outstanding wine from Tuscany that is one of the showpiece wines of La Spinetta Vineyards. Produced from Sangiovese grapes cultivated in the Casanova and Sezzana plots, it is aged for 14 months in oak barrels and finally aged another 8 months in bottles.

The intense ruby color in the glass shines from the first glance. The bouquet of aromas hides notes of wild violets, ripe fruits and cinnamon. On the palate, the harmonious structure enriched with notes of white pepper and graphite captivates with silky tannins and expressive yet delicate acidity.

A classic of Italian winemaking, and therefore ideally suited to Italian cuisine as well. Excellent pWhen served with dishes based on red and white meat, but also with pastas and risottos. Meals based on red sauces will feel perfectly accompanied by Il Nero di Casanova. It's also the perfect bottle to put in the cellar for a few more years.

La Spinetta Vineyard

La Spinetta is an Italian winemaker known for producing wines in Piedmont. It is particularly known for its Barbaresco and Barolo Campe wines, as well as an innovative blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera called Pin. These wines are known for their mature, voluptuous style and can be drunk young or aged for many years.

The estate was founded in 1977, and initially production focused on Moscato. In 1985, La Spinetta released its first red wine, Cà di Pian under the Barbera d'Asti appellation. Pin was introduced in 1989, and the first Nebbiolo from the listed winery, Barbaresco Gallina, was released in 1995.
