Champagne Gosset Grand Rose Brut is French pink excellence - the bestseller of the Champagne region. Like any champagne, it is recognizable and appreciated by gourmets of the drink. There are those who call Gosset champagnes the champagne of purists, as Gosset is one of the last champagne houses (the other being Lanson) where malolactic fermentation is not used to soften and smooth the wines.

Gosset Grand Rose Brut Champagne was aged 36 months on lees and contains 12% alcohol. The color of the wine resembles salmon-pink wild rose petals. The addition of 8% red wine (the Pinot Noir grapes come from Ambonnay and Bouza) give this pink wine a delicate tint and wonderful fruitiness. On the palate, the Champagne is well structured. It perfectly balances the freshness and roundness of the fruit. The character is enhanced by a slightly higher lemon acidity, which is an interesting variation on the usually nice strawberry flavors of rose champagnes. It's worth mentioning, however, that here we also find strawberry aromas this too, but fresher, more vividly slightly more mineral - like fruit after rain. Although the champagne is young it will even enhance its beauty in the cellar.

Champagne GOSSET is the oldest wine house in Champagne. Founded in 1584 in the village of Aÿ by Pierre Gosset, the company initially traded in still wines.

Champagne GOSSET was one of the last Champagne houses to avoid the use of lactic fermentation responsible for softening and smoothing the wine. As a result, the GOSSET style is characterized as ultra-traditional, austere and dry. Avoiding malolactic fermentation, moreover, preserves all the natural fruit flavors and allows for longer maturation.
