Wine Baron de Ley Finca Monasterio Rioja DOCA

A wine from Spain's extremely prestigious, oldest official appellation, Rioja. The bottle encapsulates the Tempranillo varietal with an admixture of several other varieties growing in the area around the Benedictine monastery. The wine is aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels before being transferred to oak barrels holding 10,000 liters of liquid for an additional six months. The result is an expressive yet harmonious wine that captivates with a bouquet of forest fruits, tea and barrel-vanilla notes of cocoa and spice. On the tongue, juicy tannins and fine, balanced acidity complement a dense structure that pleases with a long and pleasant finish.
