Wine Aiosa Rosso IGP Puglia

An exceptional red wine from the Puglia region located in the southern part of Italy. The vineyards from which the grapes come are located in the area of Maruggio and Manduria. The core of the wine is composed of a blend of two varietals - Primitivo at 70% and Negroamaro at 30%. The grapes are harvested when fully ripe, at which point they undergo an appassimento process in natural conditions - that is, drying that causes loss of water, as well as concentration of aromas. Half of the wine is aged for 10 months in American oak barrels.

Aiosa exudes a dark red in the glass. The bouquet of aromas is dominated by dried fruits, exotic spices with figs and a touch of dark chocolate in the background. On the palate, a full, juicy texture with balanced sweetness and acidity is perceptible, manifesting notes of vanilla, raisins and coffee on the finish. The long and pleasant finish betrays with itself the time spent in oak barrels through sweet accents.

This wine will go perfectly with a board of aged cheeses, as well as with a piece of grilled red meat. It is also worth serving with traditional Italian dishes - pasta or pizza.
