An exceptional rum from Guatemala that will delight the very discerning connoisseur. Ron Zacapa is a blend created from rums aged from 6 to 23 years. In the nose we feel an extremely complex bouquet. At first the rum entices us with its delicacy, only after a while does its complexity reach us - the sweetness of caramel and vanilla, cocoa, toffee and barrel accents. In the mouth, the rum creates the impression of being generous, full, complete. On the palate one senses dried fruits, apricot jam, tobacco, notes of coffee broken by the spiciness of cinnamon and ginger. The region from which Ron Zacapa is produced is the best in the world due to its high sunshine and fertile and acidic soil. This rum is one of the few based on juice obtained after concentrated first pressing of sugar cane, not from molasses like most other rums. Each bottle is surrounded by a Mayan hand-woven wicker mat called a "petate." Ron Zacapa is a rum with a unique, special history and a unique, excellent taste.
