Wine Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs Brut

Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs Brut is a classic single-varietal champagne. Blanc de Blancs is French for "white of the whites." The term refers to white Champagne and means that it is made from 100% Chardonnay grape. White champagne can also be made from the red Pinot noir strain. However, blanc de blancs are softer and lighter than blanc de noirs. Like all Gosset, Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs Brut is a combination of seemingly extreme elements. The color is dominated by light gold. The bouquet is dominated by mineral accents, but there are also well-defined aromas of flowers or white fruits. Here we have both apricots and mirabelles, even with accents of honey, right alongside sour lemons and quince. Also on the palate we find a richness of sensations. We feel white sour fruits, followed immediately by accents of white sweet fruits, followed by and honey and fruit jelly, followed immediately by elegant toasty notes. This is undoubtedly a lively, well-structured Champagne, with a dry character but also a silky structure, full of harmonious flavor, finishing with a long silky finish.
