Muscadet Sevre et Maine Sur Lie was subjected to the sur lie method for four months, meaning that the wine lay over yeast lees for this time. This treatment increases extractivity and enriches the aromatic palette. The aroma shows crispness and subtle hints of citrus fruit. On tasting, there is a lot of minerality, which goes well with the noticeable melon and salty notes. In the kitchen, it will work well as an aperitif and an accompaniment to seafood, fish and goat cheese. This wine comes from the oldest appellation in the Loire Valley - Sevre et Maine, where producer Poiron Dabin has as much as 72 hectares under cultivation.
