White Dry Lebanon
We invite you to explore the list of wines from Lebanon, where detailed descriptions, high-quality photos and reviews from our customers will help you choose the right bottle.

Wine CharacteristicsThe history of

Lebanese winemaking is made up of three wineries. Chateau Ksara, founded by Jesuits in the mid-19th century, Chateau Kefraya and Chateau Musar. In the offerings available at Wine.co.uk, you can find four offerings from the Chateau Kefraya vineyard. The two red and dry wines were created from a combination of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals. The Chateau Kefraya Bekaa Valley wine has an intense and concentrated aroma, with violets, vanilla, coconut, forest fruits and notes of pepper on the mouth and nose. Chateau Kefraya Comte de M Bekaa Valley wine is full of notes of wood, vanilla, cocoa, curry, tobacco, blackberries, framed by solid still young tannins. The white is represented by Chateau Kefraya Blanc De Blancs Bekaa Valley, with notes of mango, peach, apricot, as well as honey, acacia flowers and lilac. Chateau Kefraya Myst De Kefraya Bekaa Valley pink wine is ideal for lovers of light subtle flavors full of fruit. A rich bouquet revealing subtle notes of melon, lychee and exotic fruits mixed with hints of strawberries, peaches and black currant and even roses.

Grape VarietiesThe grapes

were brought to Lebanon from France, so the most important varietals grown are mainly classic French varieties. Among the red varietals, the dominant ones are: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Cinsault, Gamay, Grenache, Merlot, Mourvèdre, Petit Verdot, Syrah and Tempranillo, and among the whites: Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Merweh, Muscat, Obaideh, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Ugni Blanc and Viognier. The two white varietals mentioned above are local products. The first is Merwah, used in the production of blended wines. It is from it that citrusy wines with a delicate nutty note are made. The second Obaideh, used to produce the strong aniseed liquor flagship in the country. It yields wines with a creamy texture, honey and citrus aromas.

Wine RegionsThe majority of

the crop is now in the western Bekaa Valley, and it is here that 90% of all wines are produced.
