We invite you to explore the list of wines from Israel, where detailed descriptions, high-quality photos and reviews of our customers will help you choose the right bottle.

Wine CharacteristicsWine-making

is undoubtedly a dynamic and growing industry in Israel today. Vineyards are again covering the local lands. Wines are getting better and better. And although the most important of the revolutionary changes here have happened relatively recently, we must remember that the history of winemaking in the land dates back more than five thousand years. Israeli wines are characterized by a fruity taste, an intense aroma of flowers and fruits, among which, of course, exotic and candied fruits dominate. French and American wood barrels are used for aging, but new, previously unused barrels are used. Israelis are also not attached to the region from which the grapes come, since Israel is a small country, and its spread can be compared, for example, to a single wine region in France.

Grape varietiesThe grapes grown

here are primarily international varieties, the most important of which are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. Cabernet Franc, Gewürztraminer, Muscat, including Alexandria Muscat, Riesling and Syrah are also doing equally well. Looking at the varieties of varietals, it would seem that Israeli wines will not surprise us with taste. Nothing could be further from the truth. What significantly affects the character of wine from this corner of the world is the microclimate. The development of Israeli winemaking today further strengthens the demand for kosher wines around the world.

Wine regionsGalilea

, thanks to its high vineyard location, temperature differences and good soil, is an ideal wine-growing region. The international varietals mentioned earlier are grown here, including Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, from which sparkling wines are produced. Israel's largest and key producers have their vineyards here, namely Carmel Winery, Barkan Winery and Golan Heights Winery. Another region is the Judean Hills, where Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varieties have caught on quite well due to the type of soil, similar to Burgundy. In addition, Cabernet, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling are grown. Fields of cultivation can also be found in the Samson, Negev and Shomron regions.
