Chilean wines today have great offerings when it comes to classic varietals, of which the Barrica Selection Chardonnay is a prime example. The wine comes from the rather cool Casablanca Valley region. It is aged 8 months in French oak barrels, making it intriguing with its yellow color, with vanilla nuances, enriched with tropical fruits. Good structure and concentration with an oily and long finish. At the Chardonnay du Monde competition, it won a bronze medal for the 2008 vintage.
