Wine Masi Grandarella Appassimento Rosso Delle Venezie I.G.T..

Grandarella Appassimento is a fine Italian wine from the Rosso delle Venezie (Veneto) region. An unusual blend of local Refosco with Carmenere. The production process for this Italian wine is insanely time-consuming, as it all starts with the grapes being dried on special straw mats for about two months, and before that a bit of pressing and forty days of temperature-controlled fermentation. Then the process was transferred to 30-40 hl vats to finally place the wine for two years in 600 liter oak barrels. Grandarella's color is a deep ruby, and the aromatic profile is almost impossible to describe - herbs, tobacco, liquor, spices and fried cherries. The mouthfeel is full and fleshy, with an endless finish that still includes an aftertaste of bitter cherries.
