Wine La Spinetta Il Gentile di Casanova Prugnolo Gentile IGT

La Spinetta presents a sensational dry red wine. It was made from 100% Prugnolo Gentile - a Sangiovese clone from the Montepulciano region. The wine is aged in a French large barrel for 24 months, to be followed by 10 months of aging in steel, and finally another 6 months in bottles. This dry wine has an intense ruby color. The bouquet offers aromas of berries, minerals and menthol. On the palate, the wine is full and rich, clean and at the same time a bit spicy. It is characterized by strong concentration and fruitiness. This Italian wine has thirty years of aging potential. The wine scored 92 points in Wine Advocate's rating.
