Wine La Spinetta Barolo Garretti

A red Italian wine with a light red color characteristic of the Nebbiolo varietal. The bouquet features intense aromas of berries, cherries and plum, with characteristic notes of mahogany, savory and earth in the background. All thanks to aging for 20 months in French oak barrels, followed by 3-4 months in stainless steel barrels. In the mouth it clearly reveals spices leaving a long finish with a pleasantly sweet note. This wine from Piedmont is produced at 8,000 bottles per year and has the potential to mature for 20-25 years after release for sale. The wine's quality is reflected in its numerous awards and accolades, among them: 93 points from James Suckling for the 2011 vintage, 93 points from Wine Spectator for 2010 and 95 points from Wine Advocate for 2010.
