A dry red wine from Piedmont, a northern region of Italy. The Pelaverga piccolo grape, from which the wine is made, is a little-known local variety native to the Langhe in Piedmont. "Piccolo," meaning literally "small," refers to the size of the vine's berries, which are indeed small, though the bunch itself is sizable. Like the variety used, the wine itself is unique.
