Wine Borgo dei DOC Primitivo Di Manduria

A classic of southern Italy, the Primitivo varietal from Manduria, located in the Puglia region, in the province of Taranto. The average age of the vines from which it is harvested is about 25-35 years. After fermentation, the wine is split and 40% of it goes into French and American oak barrels for 8 months. This provides the wine with a more mature character and the right harmony of flavor.

Borgo Dei exudes the character typical of the region's wines. Aromas include forest fruits led by blackberries and touches of spice from barrel aging. On the palate, the power of dried fruits with a touch of herbs and spices with a juicy finish full of sweet accents bringing to mind chocolate-covered plums.

This wine will work deliciously with a plate of appetizers and snacks - including aged cheeses and cured meats. The full-bodied texture and essential flavor will also feel great with red grilled meats and game.
