What's more, some of the non-alcoholic wines are aged to develop flavor and aroma, and some are even aged in wooden barrels. Only after these processes, which, after all, define the wine, can the producer decide that his wine will become alcohol-free and, using one of several available methods, get rid of the alcohol from the wine. What is it and how is it created? What is dealcoholization of wine? Can 0% alcohol taste like "real" wines? And for whom is this product dedicated?

What it is.

We love wines not only for the percentages found in liquor, but also for the circumstances under which we drink them. When the situation does not allow us to consume alcohol, we are left with non-alcoholic wines to choose from. But what exactly is this? Most often, a non-alcoholic beverage can be spoken of when it contains no more than 0.5% alcohol. In a nutshell, alcohol-free wines are a type of wine that has been deprived of alcohol in the process of dealcoholization. There are available on the market

non-alcoholic red wines, white and rosé dry liquors, sweet wines and non-alcoholic semi-sweet wines, just like their traditional counterparts.

The whole difference comes from the final stage of production, when the drink is stripped of the alcohol that was created during the fermentation process. Some varieties even use barrel aging, as a result of which the drink gains its original aroma. The offer of stores with alcohol-free wines is a natural response to the growing interest of customers in zero-percent alcoholic beverages. Would you like to try this type of wine? Check out the offers we have prepared for you on the Vinesia website!

How is non-alcoholic wine made?

Without going into complicated, scientific details, these methods can be divided into two groups: removal of alcohol by distillation or by reverse osmosis. Unfortunately, both types of these methods strongly interfere with the structure of the wine, changing, taste, aroma and affecting the color.

Moreover, it should be remembered that alcohol itself and its percentage in wine, is an important factor that makes up the perceived taste and aroma of the liquor, very often determining its distinctiveness or uniqueness. In non-alcoholic wines this factor is getting rid of, which is functionally a plus, but in terms of sensory experience - a definite minus.

How to distinguish alcohol-free wine from the traditional one?

It is worth mentioning that alcohol-free wines are outside all appellations, it is of no use here to be guided in the choice by appellation or regional designations. Legally, non-alcoholic wines fall more under beverages. Therefore, on the counter label we find the composition of the product, which is unheard of with traditional wines. We are also unlikely to find the vintage on the label of non-alcoholic wines. Due to the lack of alcohol, the wine has no possibility of aging, and its shelf life, as for wine, is rather short.

Types of zero percent wines - which to choose?

What kind of non-alcoholic wines to choose? The stores presented on the wine portal Vinezia offer a wide selection of brands and types of zero percent beverages. You can choose the best sweet, dry and semi-sweet wines, red, white and rosé, from different parts of the world. Choose the kind you like best - non-alcoholic prosecco and more! We also recommend sparkling wines without alcohol, the taste of which will appeal to pregnant women and any fan of sparkling beverages. This is also an option for people who are on a diet and want to find less caloric options with less sugar. Check out the options available on the Vinesia website - you have a choice of the very best non-alcoholic wines on the web.

Price of alcohol-free wines

Although the complication of production indicates the possibility of a higher price - this is not the case, as demand has not yet developed as much either. Alcohol-free wine on the shelves of Polish markets can be found for just over PLN 10. But if we don't want to end up with a tasteless equivalent of grape juice, it's worth being tempted to buy a bottle around PLN 30. Here we will already find proposals worth putting it on our table or give it to a wine lover who is just pregnant. She will certainly appreciate both our efforts and the qualities of the drink.

Is it worth trying "zero percent wine"?

Yes, non-alcoholic wine is really WINE! No! Get rid of the delusion that non-alcoholic wine will match a bottle of good quality wine with its complex structure of flavors and aromas. But let the living not lose hope. Methods of filtering out alcohol are getting better and better, and there are already some interesting offerings of non-alcoholic wines that can be an enjoyable beverage at all, for times when wine simply cannot be consumed. Therefore, if your adventure with non-alcoholic wine began a long time ago and was not successful, we advise that on the next occasion, when for some reason you will not be able to reach for a traditional wine glass filled with alcohol, try to ensure that there is a bottle of non-alcoholic wine on the table.

For whom are non-alcoholic wines offered?

The fact is that the popularity of non-alcoholic wines is growing dramatically, and not only among amateurs who are not knowledgeable about wine, but precisely among lovers who like and appreciate wine, but can not always drink. Situations vary, because it's not just pregnancy or nursing a child, but various social situations in which alcohol consumption is not possible, but the lack of a glass in hand causes complications; insistent solicitations of "and why", "and why", "and maybe yet". The solution is non-alcoholic wine.

And being the host of the party, it is worth remembering that good upbringing even dictates to take care of the well-being of all our guests, including those who, by virtue of driving or for ideological reasons, do not drink alcohol. Then a bottle of non-alcoholic wine on our table can save them from the complicated necessity of explaining the basis of professed ideologies. You can drink alcohol-free wine when you are taking medications that cannot be combined with alcohol, when you are driving or when you are a non-drinker. You can also use it as a good gift idea for a loved one. Or maybe you're just curious about what zero percent alcohol-free wine tastes like? More and more non-alcoholic substitutes for traditional alcohol are appearing on store shelves - try non-alcoholic wines, too!
