Whisky Tomatin 1988 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The single malt Scotch whisky was bottled in April 2014, by which time it had been matured in Tawny Port and Sherry Oloroso casks after the distillation process. The whisky has a very complex, strongly fruity nose in which one can sense pineapple, strawberries, sweet melon, vanilla, rose petals as well as toffee, ginger and some pepper. On the palate, the whisky is creamy with flavors of raspberries and strawberries with candied citrus peel, you can also sense honey and coconut shavings, and after a while there is a taste of walnut. The finish is long, evoking berry jam and walnuts with a slightly spicy finish.
